There are no close EG dealers near me so i had to drive a distance to get this. I didn’t purchase from Becky’s as I didn’t know she was a dealer at the time.
I’m reviewing in case someone is interested in this model , I think it’s worth a look.
This is my first E-bike. I have rode a rental Pedigo years earlier once.
I have a 2020 model so that may give some indication of reliability in 2 years use.
I’m not a hardcore rider and in fact retired and wanting to get back in shape after some lengthy physical issues.
My previous few decades are occasional rides with an upright cruiser style bike.
This bike has been wonderful , easy to learn and dead reliable. I’ve adjusted the derailer once and tightened a couple of spokes a couple of times and other than oiling the chain that is it.
I typically just use the lowest power setting and pedal effort is still easy on flat roads , mild hills I usually just downshift.
Middrives gives you torque multiplication that a hub drive won’t.
I love how the power delivery is after a shift especial on an uphill shift. You won’t lose momentum as it gives you a split second boost after the shift.
This bike has helped my immensely in getting my strength and endurance back.
I always figured if I run out of steam I could just use the throttle to get home..I never have but it’s nice knowing I have one.
The thumb throttle is very easy to use , not abrupt and won’t scare you upon engagement.
I sometimes use it to get started and other than that showing off on a grade in the neighborhood.
The brakes are phenomenal and kill motor power as you engage them so you never are in over your head in learning this bike.
A very easy bike to learn.
My son has been on this bike and is starting to get the bug for an electric so he can keep up and go longer distances as I know do.
